I viewed a number of homes before deciding on Stainsbridge House. The deciding factor was that I was able to observe the interaction with staff and the people who live there; They were not residents - they were residing in their own home. Staff were observed to be treating everyone as individuals. As a family we were given the opportunity to personalize Mum’s room to make it feel more like her home from home. Assistance was provided by the Handy Person in helping to put up mirrors, pictures & shelves. The pandemic happened in March 2020 and staff helped to facilitate telephone calls, video calls and suggested we send in laminated photos of our family so the staff members could talk to her about us. We were impressed with the clear communication provided by the staff and their ability to support Mum when we were unable to be with her. The care Mum received was of the highest level. She was treated with dignity and respect at all times. Staff ensured all the support services were engaged from SALT, GP, COMMUNTY NURSES and many more. Staff retention is good and I feel this is essential when supporting people with Dementia. I have been impressed with all staff members who have the quality of "nothing is too much trouble" This is all of the staff team at Stainsbridge House.
